GETTING AROUND IN RUHR

The Ruhr Metropolis is sprawling collections of cities large and small, towns, villages and wide, open spaces, forests, hills and plains. Navigating the region can be both easy or a challenge. Am I on and axis or am I crossing between two rural regions?

Many cities possess metro systems, others trams. Busses are a given in most urban spaces too, radiating in a star-like formation. Many commercial and office districts are located on the periphery of cities. Public transport can normally be reached easily, a taxi can be found on nearly everywhere.

Getting to and from cities is fairly easy, although traffic can be intense on motorways and dual carriageways. Trains run centrally throughout the region, most connecting to the national rail network. Düsseldorf airport is reached relatively easily.

Society & Folk in Ruhr

Anyone who has experienced the hospitality offered by this society knows that the country and its folk have changed enormously over recent years. The Ruhr Metropolis is, on the whole, peaceful and its citizens are mostly generous and contented.
