The topic of German society and its folk are frequently debated with opinions often divided. Germans themselves have claimed they are highly respected yet unloved, they lack humour and are complicated. Some notice they walk too slowly on sidewalks and stand in the way on escalators. Others feel Germany is too strong and too powerful.
These may be truths. However, anyone who has experienced the hospitality offered by their culture sees the Germans through different eyes. Yes, there may be easier places to relocate to but this country and its folk have changed very much over recent decades.
Society had opened and Germans are more laid back than first meets the eye. Life in Germany and in the Ruhr Metropolis is especially peaceful. Citizens are mainly generous. And the vast majority of younger citizens are some of the most open-minded in the world.
