Dasa, the German health & safety at work exhibition, informs about our working environment and helps promote surroundings in which people come to the fore. The central thought of the museum is the security of human values such as health, dignity, integrity and the involvement in social life.

Various sections of the 13.000 square metre exhibit relate to such topics as how an ideal work space should look like for good health to be maintained. Dasa Arbeitswelt Ausstellung makes visitors aware of how important and how central humans still are within workspaces. In defiance of, or exactly because of technical development in our working environment.

The slogan people-work-technology, Mensch-Arbeit-Technik, reflects their activities. Humans design technology and work spaces, while technology and work affect the human. This relationship between the three is interpreted and under permanent investigation by the museum.

We stand in a foreign culture finding ourselves pointing, gesticulating and hoping to be understood. Germans generally speak some English. That said, expats relocating to the Ruhr Metropolis may wish to carry a few basic but helpful words with them for use during awkward moments.
