FIVE STAR HOTELS IN THE RUHR
The Ruhr Metropolis offers its visitors a surprisingly limited choice of high end, five star hotel accommodation in relation to its population of over five million residents.
The bewilderment continues when considering the large number of cities in the economic powerhouse of the Ruhr region such as Essen, Dortmund, Bochum, Oberhausen, Duisburg, Hagen and Mülheim.
Schlosshotel Hugenpoet in Essen and the Villa am Ruhrufer in Mülheim are two unique hotels of note which are are centrally located.
A further six five star establishments are available to discerning travellers a reasonable distance away in the state capital of Düsseldorf. They are the Capella Breidenbacher Hof, De Medici, Hilton, Hyatt Regency, InterContinental and Steigenberger Park hotels.
